This is an Reproduction Boston Terrier cast iron door stop from the 1948 and beyond. It is in unaltered original condition. This is NOT a Hubley.  The screw in the back of the head is a phillips head not a flat head.
This door stop weighs 8 lbs. There is a gap from the two halves meeting, but this dog is not coming apart. 
It is not a bank. It is a door stop. The spot on the head is NOT a coin slot but a slit where the tools held it while it was being created.
All Vintage items possess a certain amount of wear and tear that comes with age. I consider that part of their charm, I hope you do too.
